Mark W
After the SuperFunTime of my old laptop shitting the bed 2 days before my major project deadline (5,000 words: 2 days. Only one winner.), I bought myself a new laptop. It's got Vista Home on it compared to my old XP Pro setup, but I've just generally been trying to install all the random crap I need on it to make videos stream properly online, and so on. I've still got one problem left though, which is this:It's always the 53/3 thing, and always the same error message, and it comes up when I close about 90% of tabs in IE. I'm planning on switching to Firefox in the fullness of time, but it'd be cool to know WTF is actually going on with this...
MadManMike
I hate to be the typically unhelpful guy in the thread Mark, but you really answered your question in the thread title...Any other OS and any other browser and you're away
Danny
Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Make sure both disable script debugging options are checked.Failing that try Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > ResetAnd Mike yes IE does suck but Vista is fine. Mark W
Both of those options are checked, yeah. Any other ideas? It's not a missing plug-in or anything like that?
MadManMike
Knowing Microsoft they probably won't let you, but have you tried installing the same / a newer version over the top of IE?
