Captain Scarlet
Dollars, yes.It costs like £1100 for a complete deng bike. But thats not the cost of getting into the sport. You could buy a second hand traisl bike for £100 or a new entry level one for £300. 16 years later
You don’t have to have a specific trials bike to do trials, you can do track stands, little hops and all the real basics on a "normal" bike. I started getting the feel for trials on a BMX that weight about a ton and had shit gearing, I was just doing all the small shizz and loving it. N.Wood
Stop complaining about one tiny comment, at least trials got a slot on prime-time American TV for millions of viewers to see!

Greetings
That accent, voice and intonation is horrible. Just by listening to it you know it's not going to contain too much genuine information.Still, every little bit of publicity for trials is a good thing. But why can't the Americans learn to speak properly.
manuel
Stop complaining about one tiny comment, at least trials got a slot on prime-time American TV for millions of viewers to see!I think thats the point - millions of people got the wrong idea about what it costs to get into trials ...Plus, I think those crappy bikes would have been fine for someone to learn the basics on - its just that jeff and the other dude are professional and their level has gone beyond what those bikes can take (they also rode like tools on them). Its all about progression. So all in all bit of a let down to trials really ? Big Jeff is still a f**king hero though.

Yes because they're fun, French especially There aren't many things as charming as girls working in ticket booths at the French side of the Euro Tunnel. The American accent is dreadful. ilikeriding
would have been better if they looked into trials a bit more but a good attempt I suppose, not sure about the whole man vs machine thing, a random person cant just get on a trials bike and be instantly good which is kind of what they portray
freetrials661
Mike Steadlys bike looks really sick. The documentary was pretty cool, but they should have shown some bigger stuff..
Tomm
I think thats the point - millions of people got the wrong idea about what it costs to get into trials ...Yeah. I don't know anyone who didn't get into trials by starting messing around on their old rubbish mountain bike bike or something. The show gives the impression that anyone who rides trials must be some spoilt little rich kid who has $2000 to spend on a hobby they've never tried before. Also they seemed to be saying it's the bike, not the rider which we all know is utter rubbish. Yeah, a £70 full susser probably will break pretty easily but if you were good enough I bet you could do 90% of the trials in that video on a £200 mountain bike.
