2009 Dob Mag Frame

Some good improvements but they still haven't looked full into it.

Its nice to see an addition of a headtube/downtube gusset, the old frames didn't have it and were just waiting to crack.

But they haven't given it a good bashplate (unless that is a prototype), as there is no grooved edge to the bashplate (how is it supposed to grip), the caliper mount hasn't been beefed up (a large area for flex and inevitably cracking on the old frames), and the toptube/downtube weld has not be sorted/improved.

Obviously if they are going for a lightweight bike, they've done that, but beefing up the disc mount wouldn't add much more weight, and thats all that really needs to be done to make this bike work well.

not exactly ground breaking or imaginative :S

well theres only so different a very low stand over, no seat, 20" wheel bike can be.

using a magnesium alloy to make it superlight? pretty innovative.

yes the bike has its faults, but the prinicple of using magnesium alloy frames in bike trials is a new one so there are bound to be failures along the way.
