Lar
You surf naked? I've been tempted to drive back from the Quarry where I freedive in my wetsuit, it's an 1:30 hour drive though.I've had about a 5 weeks off riding (injury and illness) and just getting back into it again seems fine but everything's so slippy and covered in ice.Yeah it's either get naked in cold car park to get into me wetsuit, or spend the day mainly covered in neoprene or get a gay wagon to get changed in, neither of which are gonna happen. Fun and games.
Jitters
I rather like the cold, so I still go out an play. My vees seem to work just fine with the cold temps too.I must say, trials biking is much warmer than my road biking expeditions in the mountains during winter. PaRtZ
Is this a stuble hint that I'm not riding enough? Not hibernating, just decorating.Well you've been decorating for 2 weeks now, so its time for a break! You dont need to decorate, your house is awesome anyway. Are the rabbits still there btw?
Dan81
whats the point?? How about to improve your riding? To have fun? All the other reasons why we ride bikes?Falling off slippery ledges isn't fun for me......and improve my riding? I ride for fun, not for a living so 'improving my riding' isn't really up there on my to-do list. If that ever happens it'll happen naturally (and in the dry!) Greetings
So you never push yourself and never try and improve?Same here. For me, improvement though slow comes from normal riding and just enjoying myself without trying to do something new. It's much more fun than treating trials seriously and trying to nail something 50 times. Even if you do nail whatever you're trying in the end, it doesn't really mean you've improved. You've just tried it so many times, that you were bound to get it right in the end. As for winter, I'm waiting for some snow so I can ride double disc. Having done that i'll probably lock the bike up somewhere and wait for spring.
tryallmaster
I guess I dont have this problem at the moment...Australia never lets me down. eskimo
I've slacked a bit recently but that's due to noone else riding. And since it's always wet the bmx hasn't been used for months. I hate the dark mostly, the cold is fine. It's also warmer wearing shorts too.

A.Baxter
My mate and i were out riding today for the first time in ages and to be honest it wasnt that bad, especially once you warm up a bit we were both in t-shirts in the end Adam

Rich Pearson
It's fine for us guys with an extra layer of fat to keep us warm eh Prawn :wink2:Isn't that a little self depricating? I'm aiming to go out and ride every day over the winter holidays (broke up yesterday), but theres sod all to ride around here so I'm gonna have to get inventive. This might mean skateparks...Rich
Dan81
I rode an outdoor skatepark at about 11pm and it was -3 a month or so ago. I ended up riding in a t-shirt! (takes some effort riding ramps with a stupid piddly gear)

Ross McArthur
Yea up here its rather wet and icy.Trials has kinda stopped and riding around as fast as I can to places doing a loop round my town (about 8 miles) has taken over hopping up walls. I just put a 22 16 on my Mk1 ashton and blast around on that.Hope to get back out tonight after a weekend of house busting.

Shaun H
Braved the icyness tonight, was slippy as fook! Plus it was foggy so my brake was wet and shit...Was difficult stuff!
TrialsMan Dan
I still ride trials during the winter, only when its not pissing it down or icy/frosty. I ride XC all year round though, i regularly go night riding at my local trail centre, its class. So much more of a challenge in the dark, my Hope lights are amazing, which really helps. Rusevelt
Watching Chris Akrigg attempting that line in his latest vid is a good testimate for riding in cold, damp climates. Best thing to help riding in cold climates is to have a hot bath/shower, followed by cold bath/shower. its not pleasant experience but this process speeds up the circulation in the blood.
