Boxer1
I was just wondering whatever happened to the likes of, megamo, brisa, pashley and other makes that popped up along the way like vario and cresent and what about the bigger brands e.g cannondale, giant, planet-x doing trials bikes? and riders like, eddie tongue, jj gregrowikz, you dont hear much about team M.A.D anymore, and the guy, cant remember his name but had the Ti planet x frame, and what happened to martin haywes?a bit of a rant but just somthing to think about? is there anymore u can think of? Connor Powell
I think it just got old, more effective frame geo's got created by new companys, everything got shunted by onza and zoo? new riders came along, Vince hermance, Coustelliers, watson, Tunni, Cls. new talent, there all still about just not as popular anymore.Im probably wrong though Edited December 10, 2008 by Connor Powell
Ben John-Hynes
As people's style of riding changed from a flowing/street style to a more TGS basher style, those frames just got out-dated and newer geos like the DENG frames came into play.EDIT: Team MAD is now Phase MAD. Nick Manning(on here) is a rider for them. Edited December 10, 2008 by BenJohn-Hynes
Mark W
Questions.Brisas were weak.Pashley have a new frame coming out.Vario had the Styx out last year (or maybe year before that?).Cannondale parted ways with Ashton and were out-dated even back in the day.Giant still have trials frames, although they're not super trialsy.Planet-X stopped the Zebdi a while back, think their warranty killed it?Eddie Tongue now rides BMX, and featured in "Us and Them" which is available for £2.50 incl. postage on DVD, which is too cheap for words. (Search on style43.com...)JJ Gregorowicz was in a video recently.Team MAD are now Phase MAD and are re-doing their image, as far as I can tell.Martin Hawyes was at one point a BIU or UCI ambassador, but now rides for Diamondback or something like that? He just doesnt understand street and sticks to the rocks. Think he mainly rides moto trials now though. pretty sure he works for fisher leisure as a rep.
