richtrials2
YoDo not get the dob! very very flexy frame heard bad things about that frame.Echo Pure is a winner Echo are more reliable and just better overall.Rich
Mikey Tomo
Probably best to go second-hand. Even if it has a few scratches or VERY minor dents it will be O.K
jack0174
Go for the echo, always hear bad things about the dob's.
Rumplestiltskin
Dob's tend to crack quite easily. Ross McArthur on here cracked a set of their forks in about a week, and a second set in about the same time. Towler had a dob mod as well, but cracked the disc mount fairly quickly. I'd go for an Echo. General consensus is they're stronger.
faith
cheers guys tis a shame i really like the frame shape on the dob,The echo sems more monoque shaped also may have the option of geting a koxx levelboss frame for around £100 ish
old_man_dan
im currently running the echo pure 08 and its spot on had a bit of flex at the rear but soon resolved with a booster great on the back wheel and well suited for power moves

BigAl
The DOB is a good frame to go for if you like buying a new one every ride There VERY weak frames, flex alot too. I think the echo is a much nicer looking bike anyway Alex.

cadbury's cream egg
Dob-S**T.... flexy, crack etc.Echo pure-ride really nice light, but crack around the magura mounts. But with being £150 on tarty at the moment i would go for the echo.Leon x
Julius Czar
I wanted a Dob, lovely looking frames, but the weakness put me off as im not a very light rider, and the fact that they flex a lot. I've got an echo, and there solid frames, i've never heard of any echo snapping, but dob on the other hand, ive never heard of one lasting over 4 months. Kiwi. Muel
The geometry of those two frames is completely different, the dob has a 1060 WB and a 70.5 head angle, and the short Echo has a 1080 WB and a 72 degree head angle, they will ride completely differently. You should choose what geometry you want then start looking at what frame to get!
