laurent
I use the search function but i can't find all information i want...so i ask you.Anyone knows which is the "riser" riser bar on the market?I think it's the rockman but i'm no sure because i can't find specification of all the bars.My goal is to have a higher position on the bike an more "room".Thanks! Bigman
Rockman, Try-all Rage, Trialtech and Monty are "true" riser bars unlike the deng attempts which may as well just be flat as they provide very little gain in height/cockpit room. Monty and Try-all rage bars are quite narrow, around the 27 - 27.5inch mark which for alot of people is abit too narrow, my monty bars were extended to around 29.5inch and they were very comfortable, i then had a set of trialtech, out of the true riser bars i would say that these have the least actual height gain, but they are very comfortable and are around the 29inch width mark, recently i have moved to Rockman bars as part of my sponsorship, they felt very different to the trialtechs when i first rode them, but after a afew hours i was used to them and getting on with them as well as the trialtechs, they are higher than the trialtechs but not as wide at around 28inchs.They are all very good bars, although i have heard of Rage bars snapping, monty, rockman and try-all are slightly higher than the trialtech ones, but the trialtech are slightly wider, if you can try and have a go on different peoples bikes with the different bars and see which you prefer.Adam
eskimo
I think you are looking for bars with up-sweep?As for trials specific bars, it's the ones specified. Also Viz Max bars offers more up-sweep than the Deng range but not quite as much as Trialtech bars. They are probably the widest going but don't flex like the Deng range. It's also worth looking at flat bars. Most people put them off, but they do offer a really nice comfort to riding on the back wheel. There's also quite a few mtb bars that seem alright. I was looking into it a while back but just stuck with my Max bars. How about these?Only joking, those would snap easily no doubt.
Rusevelt
Neon High Riser bars, would be the highest if you angled the bars so that the bar end is positioned at 12 o'clock. followed by TryAll, Trialtech, Rockman, Monty, and other risers of simular rise, up-sweep, and back sweep geometry. shamus
I'm running try-all rage. seem loevly and comfy for me. And they did add loads of room to my cockpit, but as others say they are narrow ish (compared to my brisa's ), my wheel swaps and power lift moves did suffer but for rolling moves they are so much nicer
laurent
Thanks guys for all these answers!Especially Bigman for your precision.I think i'll buy the one with the better "width/rise" ratio. So i'll probably go for the rockman even if the shape of this bar seems very strange. Thanks again! Somme very helpful information here! So i'll probably go for the rockman even if the shape of this bar seems very strange. It only feels strange to begin with, as with any handle bar when you change, once you are used to them i am sure you will like themAdam

Muel
He wants bars with a proper rise, not almost none.
Ben H!
I'd of said for the proper risers bars are the trialtech ones & the montys or the rockmans as well Ben.
Sponge
The older ZOO bars from 2005 are great if you can get your hands on them. The Trialtech risers are an identical copy of their geometry. Great bars

Sponge
I've compared both in my own hands, and compared when attached to stems. They are the same in rise, and width. I guarantee. You must have a 2006/2007 edition then. The actual high-rise Zoo bars from 2005 are identical to Trialtechs. I can promise that.
Greetings
Fair play, perhaps Zoo bars came in 3 versions. The Zoo's I compared the Trialtech to weren't the 20mm risers from the last 2 years released alongside the Adamant and GU bars.
