Yeah, bouldering is perfect for powerfull strength to weight ratio, try doing a regular climbing session and at the end do a few overhang routes without using your feet to really pump your upper body...... also set some dyno challenges (when you have to jump to holds) its a great way of building explosive power....

A quick note on the mental aspect of it all too..... Getting down the gym works for some but I find its usualy a short lived dedication simply because it can be a chore..... if you fill your training with activities you enjoy... riding, climbing, parkour etc then you're just out there having fun, its habitual and progrssion in riding strength is a happy biproduct
