Any One Wanna See Mbk Destruction Video?

I think people have got a bit too wrapped up in their little health and saftey bubble wrapped world. This video is not from our country, our country has become very attached to its health and saftey rules, a bit too attached in some places but nevertheless its a good thing, I can't deny that.

If you have seen some of things that go on regarding power tools, electric, hydraulic and pneamatic in countries inside and outside of the EU you would find the way he was handling that cutter was nothing compared to other things. I've seen people do alot worse things with hand held angle grinders, apart from the person holding the grinder there isn't much stopping that boucning around the place if someone dropped it (until the hopefully springed switch clicks back), even then it takes a while for it to spool down (unless lodged in some bone).

Admitted, you wouldn't catch me doing that with a home made cutter. Althought you would catch me with a rather large angle grinder, some nice thick gloves, steelies and a good pair of specs cutting up bits of metal.

On the frame side, were you destroying the frame to prove it is now unuseable to claim on the warrenty? To save having to send it off?

I believe they destroyed the frame because it broke, but MBK wanted them to send it back for inspection, which would've cost £170. They thought that was a bit steep, so they didn't bother.

Going OTT with the health and safety is one thing, i wouldn't tell someone they need to wear full protective clothing, thick gloves, eye shields etc. as its completely their choice.

All i was saying is that its a shame to see someone who is supposed to be renowned for his skill, be so utterly careless while using the machine as to stand in front of it slapping it around the table without even switching it off. Its just plain common sense to switch it off first before moving it to a better position, especially seeing as its such a dangerous piece of equipment. To see this "skilled" worker using a tool in this way doesn't really promote his professionalism either.

Lol, yeah Kris, get told!!
