this build has pretty much persuaded me to go front disc (thanks for the question jon_lee) i had thought for ages that i'd abuse one but if it help on front wheel moves, a current focus for my improvment, then everyone's a winner

properly sweet though bud, good effort on that build. love the style and the look, not tooo much blummin chrome like evrything else these days. stealth is the way forward!

And in what way would you think a front disc would help do all those things?.....Having a working front brake and good technique is the key, not "having a disc". (Y)

I really like the look of the bike son. Maybe a longer higher stem though...about 120mm by 15-20deg?

just the potential to have a brake with a much more reliable bite and hold while still having modulation. and its just part of it i know, no substitue to technique

i cant seem to get my vee working well enough, its either got loads of bite but very little modulation or vice versa. just thought i'd explore the disc route and as has been said, it seemed to help him so mayb it'll have a similar effect for me

plus being disc it wont be so affected my mud/water grit etc

Slightly off topic here sorry :$

My front vee is astounding - bite, hold and modulation. Feather the brake for as much modulation as a disk and squeeze it alittle harder for solid lock :)

SD7 arms and lever on reverse mount pace forks, pads are coustsinks running on the lightest grind possible.

Only down side is it squeals a bit, but other than that its every bit as good as the 203mm mono trial I had, bonus is its 250g lighter :D
