Alex Dark
Right, iVe got a hope mono mini on the front of my zenith at the moment and it sucks....no power whatsoever; althoughit does have the original pads in it....Should i: a) put some ebc reds in it to boost the power, or get a bb7 caliper as i have a spare lever, cable and pads for this brakeIm running it on a stock, urbans with a 180mm rotor
N.Wood
I'd try and find an old BB7 caliper, mine have always been awesome. The mono mini is more of an xc brake and doesn't really have the power for trials, even with EBC reds. You could probably pick up an old caliper for not far off the £14ish it is for new pads anyway EDIT: I have the orginal Hope Minis on my 4x bike and fitted some EBC reds to them around 3 years ago, and they did improve the bite somewhat, but not to a huge degree. I don't think any Hopes other than the Mono Trial would be great for trials.
