lil pads
Hi I have been doing trails for ten months and have been able to pedal kick for about a month (so quite a slow learn ). I am starting to try high things and think I would like to try wheel swapping. I can't do it well but would like to get better. If you have any tips I have already looked at some sites but they dont really help me i have also looked at ryan leechs videos on youtube.comments much appreciated john

Luke_zoo
The way i do them is gap as if your going to gap onto back wheel but through your body into the bars so your knees are at the stem and make sure your front end goes down as well when bring it back to the back wheel easy as chips

spartan
Do you mean like a front to rear thing where your on the front wheel then u switch right to rear.If so i think its a great thing to start working on now. If you just endo into it then when your moving to gaps and ups to front wheel you will already have this more or less down.So throw a small endo but instead of getting your rear wheel really high move your hips forward and into the stem and bend your knees a little to scoop the rear wheel up a bit.Now jump up not back off your arms and throw the bars forward and up. Tuck as much as you can and make sure u bend your knees to bring the bike up into you.Remember that you will need to release your front brake to do this but it helps to have a bit of modulation, i find it gives me some stability if that makes sense.Really just work on it alot and watch the pros do it.People like vince, gilles and james can do it so effortlessly and can actually land the rear wheel infront of where the front wheel was.
