Haz
Pepsi Max, or Diet Coke if needs must.In a blind trial, I'm fairly certain most people would prefere Pepsi, and say that it was Coke.
Pashley26
In a blind trial, I'm fairly certain most people would prefere Pepsi, and say that it was Coke.No.The two tastes are SO different, it's just horses for courses. "JD and pepsi" sounds kinda shit too If Pepsi's so good why is there Bacardi and Coke, Jack Daniel's and Coke, Vodka and Coke, Maliibu and Coke, Calluagh and Coke (Nuns Nipple). See pepsi ? NOIf Pepsi's so good why does everyone have coke in there drinks ? Argument = Over.
JonMack
But how many pubs/bars are actually serving you Pepsi rather than Coke?
Dan6061
So we should all prefer coke because pubs serve it with alcohol?

Pashley26
But how many pubs/bars are actually serving you Pepsi rather than Coke?I can taste the difference, and I ALWAYS send it back if it's watered down or comes out of a machine. So we should all prefer coke because pubs serve it with alcohol? No, they prefer Coke because Pepsi tastes shit, so nobody professional uses it as a mixer. I've only drunk Pepsi once, and IMO it tasted nasty and syrupy. Just like the slop that comes out of a soda stream, which isn't nice. Coke had a slightly spicy taste, which is much more mature than Pepsi which just tastes sweet and syrupy. Also, Cola bottles....Not Pepsi bottles...Cola !!! (Sweets...)The iconic Coke bottle shape. The Holidays are coming adverts. When was the last time you saw a Pepsi Advert* ? Also Coke is worth like $160 Billion where as Pepsi are about $100 Billion net worth ? *Don't watch too much TV but the last time I saw a pepsi advert was for Pepsi Max which also tastes poo.... Man Pepsi is so shit, only $100 billion. It's actually $86.45BN vs $104.64BN, so there isn't that much in it. Hendrix
I drink either really, but as I said before, Pepsi does weird things to me.Just remember, a drink's a drink, one's just got a load more sugar in than the other.

Wow, I thought they were worth more... Maybe I got a different figure from somewhere
JonMack
What about when you're out drinking, what do you drink then? Why mention spirits (which everyone assumes you will be drinking out in a bar) when you're talking about getting a can of coke and mixing it yourself. Jaffacakes
I like Coke out the tap. You can drink it so much faster.I always have to wait till coke goes a bit flatter.Pepsi FTL!

Why mention spirits (which everyone assumes you will be drinking out in a bar) when you're talking about getting a can of coke and mixing it yourself. When I'm out drinking if drink Coke I buy it in bottles/Cans and mix it myself because most decent places also sell cans or bottles of coke. (Fact)But normally I drink a good Bitter or Ale, sometimes I drink Bud or Guinness if I'm really pushed.Has anybody done the thing with tapping the bottom of the glass while the Guinness sets before ? It gets denser as it draughts and if you tap it it gets to a sweet spot where it's like tapping an empty wine glass

Pepsi wouldn't be much nicer i'd imagine...As for the 'nobody professional uses it for a mixer' thing... You're simply wrong.I agree on the tastes though, Coke is slightly 'spicy' I guess? Pashley26
As for the 'nobody professional uses it for a mixer' thing... You're simply wrong.Well, I've never had Pepsi in a mixed drink because I always have bottled or canned coke. So I guess I don't know too much about that, it's just that nobody actually asks for a JD and Pepsi. Do they ? I agree on the tastes though, Coke is slightly 'spicy' I guess? And yeah, I don't know what sort of spicy it is. It almost tastes very weakly of cinnamon. Do they ?Not usually, bars often have Pepsi and when you ask for a JD and Coke they'll say 'JD and Pepsi' back to you while getting your drink, to cover their backs. You end up with JD and Pepsi, but you'll be non the wiser.
