MadManMike
So, the PC I bought runs extremely well (I can have several channels and 5 plugins running at once and it doesn't struggle at all... I could run more but I don't need to!)My first ever attempt at Trance production went half alright - been working on finishing this bad boy for two days. Everytime I export it to MP3 it has some slight improvements, I think this is version 9 so far and I'm now at a stage where I'm happy to release it.(Please, feel free to give me feedback but not too harsh, I'm still learning and Trance is VERY hard to make - or at least I find it harder to make than house / techno)http://www.megaupload.com/?d=IHIAAGJAComments please *This is a new version, without Katy Perry's chopped up vocals* Edited December 13, 2008 by MadManMike
ManxTrialSpaz
Downloading now ANd after hearing your other stuff, I'm fairly sure it can't be anything but better than the I Kissed a Girl remix that was on radio 1 a while a go. The one that was literally the orig song with a shit clubland beat behind it.Will comment after Top Gear Edited November 23, 2008 by ManxTrialSpaz

Fixed Pantsâ„¢
Friggin awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!As i said on msn, i'm never keen on the heavy thump at the start, but as you said, it's for djs to mix into or whatever you said Maybe chop it down a bit if possible? MadManMike
To answer the questions of many over MSN, I'm using:Audacity (To chop her vocals to pieces)Fruityloops Studio 8XXL as a base program, inside FL I'm using Sytrus plugin - Gated Hypersaw Synth is the main instrument used that makes the euphoric bit. Also in Sytrus is the bassline, simply "Synth Bass" tuned a little so it doesn't clash with the main synth. To create the ambient sounds / build ups I used an instrument in Sytrus called "Reactor", it generates different fuzzy effects and other stuff that when tweaked and echoed creates a nice buildup effect.I'm still working on it, adding snare rolls and stuff as the version I've uploaded gets a little "same old" after a while.I'll post up once I have a significantly better version done Thanks for all the comments so far! ManxTrialSpaz
Pretty darn good so far!I think I'm just missing any creative talent, especially with music as I completely failed with FL. Or it could just be complete FL failure. Couldn't find/make a decent synth for shit. But yeah. Top notch track, can't really be faulted at all. Flowing and nice and chilled too. Tom_
I thought the intro was pretty long for a casual listen, but 2mins onwards was intense. Liked it alot, loved the origonal when it came out, grew to hate it, you restored my love for it mike
Danny
It sounds slightly too high pitched around 2.29 ish. Maybe you should do a 3min or so radio edit for normal listening
MadManMike
Since I posted this it's improved a lot too... If anyone is interested, here's what my FL setup looks like:Sammy D - I'm on plenty of music forums, it's where I get most of my bookings from. It's nice to hear feedback from your average listener rather than fellow DJ's once in a while.I forgot to mention that the first and last couple of minutes may sound boring to most - it's there to make it mixable. Any full length club track will have those 2 "boring parts" Danny - yeah I'll probably do a trimmed down version, I'm trying to make this ready to play out at my next Spaced Out event that's all...EDIT: Ignore the fact the built in "Dance" drum pack is open, it's always open - I NEVER use the built in drums, they sound like a £19.99 keyboard from Argos lol Edited November 23, 2008 by TheScientist
MadManMike
Update:http://www.megaupload.com/?d=IOE4MLX0There's now a long drum roll half way through and some other little synth tweaks Pretty happy with this so far! Hendrix
It's good, sounds like trance. The only thing I pick up on is some "alga rhythms" as such that don't quite go. Maybe 1/16th out?Otherwise it sounds big, not what I'd expect from Fruity Loops!

Hendrix
55 seconds a cymbal pattern starts and it begins to lose it's rhythm, and the cymbal is a tad to loud in the mix on the right.Other than that, compress the f**k out of it!I want to see Air Studios using FL's now. I had a feeling you'd be on about the cymbals... Yeah I put it to echo to the right a little. The echo isn't to the beat.I'm gonna scrap the cymbals anyway and put a tight high hat in instead I think...

MadManMike
Nope... is it worth it?Most sample packs are cheese and semi-cheating
Hendrix
Vengeance is amazing. Few GB's worth. You can have a copy of my one if you want? It's just a load of well recorded and compressed samples of all sorts.
