Callum.Curwood
Hello, I lent my Helicoil Kit to my friend today and he has broke the Tap in the kit.http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Helicoil-Type-Thread...A2%7C240%3A1318That is the Kit I have.He said he is getting me a new tap but is the size of the tap M5 x 0.8?Just thought I would ask, in case he got the wrong one
bollo you ball-bag
no. m5 x 0.8 is the thread of he helicoil and it needs a larger thread to sit into. i think the tap siz is something like m5.8 or something sily like that. i know it's just below m6. it wont be easy to find just a replacement tap in the correct size.how did he break the tap? their really strong.
