ding_dong
first of all what bb is it?if its an some thing like an echo, you will need the echo bb tool.if its just a normal bb the you will nee one of thesethen the driveside cup screws in with a "normal thread" (lefty loosey, righty tighty all that shiz) and the non drive side has a reverse thread, so you twis it the way you would normaly tighten something, then do what ever you need to do while its out, clean the threads in the frame, and on the bb if you putting the old one back in, put a little grease on the threads and srew it back in, make sure you put the right cut in the right side.make sure you don't cross thread it either, the cups should go practicaly all the way in thiw your hand preitly easily, then give them a good tighten with the tool, the they wont screw in by hand chances are your either cross threading it or trying to put the wrong cup in the wrong side.hope this helps. Andrex
Make sure you use grease in it as well. It should go in nice and easy, if it is really stiff don't force it in (giggity) because your then probably cross threading it.

N Roach
One key rule:To loosen, turn towards the front end of the frame. To tighten, turn towards the rear of the frame.Use plenty of greese and check before each ride that the bb is tight. Matt Burrows
Can't believe nobody has mentioned tightening order Always make sure the DS is fully tightened before applying any torque to the NDS. Best practice is to screw the NDS cup in by hand until its around half way in, then put the DS in. Screw it all the way in by hand, then tighten to the correct torque, and then torque up the NDS. And as others mentioned grease is your friend
