mixmaker
Hi,this is experimental not big video.Slow motion here has 300 fpshope you'll like it.Your comments welcome!)http://tv.isg.si/site/filebrowser/mixmakerslow3.avi
manuel
I'm disappointed - If Im not mistaken its not actually shot at 300fps ? just edited slyly .... there is a big difference. still looks pretty cool though - just loads of fuzz around the fast moving parts. aener
Real 300fps would also be really crisp, and much smoother
Henrik Y
It seems to be more then 60fps compared to my 60fps clips. But the blur is a little annoying.
mixmaker
ok - let me explane to youoriginal video was made with 50 fps with simple HD camera sony HDR-HC7ethen, it was deinterlace with QS deintartlacethen, frame rate was up with MSU_FRC (plugin for avisynth, avisynth - works under virtual dub) to 300 fpsthen - video with 300 fps was compressed by DivX 60 fps.because 300 fps - is very big file and i gess that your computers also as my - couldn't play such file.thats why some blur in videonow i'm workin about it - how to delete blur. Henrik Y
Ok, then if you filmed with 50fps then you only can decrees it. You wont get more flow in the slow motion because a program converts it to 300fps. Because then it will show the same frame 6 times and you wont see any difference. The more fps the slower you can play it. The reason with many fps like 300 is that you take those 300fps and play them at normal speed 25fps. Then the 1s(300fps) will take (300/25=12) 12s to play. So what you do in 1s will be played over 12s with the same smoothness as a normal clip recorded and played in 25fps.So with 50fps you want be able do slow it more then half if it should run smoothly. Henrik Y
If you are right - can you show me exsample of such video very slow and very smooth without strobbing?Manuel: You may be right, computer programs can do a lot. But theoretically it shows the same frame. My camera can only make 15, 30 or 60fpsAnd when I half the speed on 60fps it's about the same as 30fps. If I half the the 30fps you can see it "strobbing" and the 60fps will strobb the same if halfed two times.Example:At 2:55 it's filmed in 30fps and run at half speed(15fps) The first jump over the pool is filmed in 60fps and is run at half speed(30 fps) Conversions between fps could also be the explanation of the blurring in your clip. Two frames sharing on slot may go together and get blurry, I don't know just a guessing. Edited November 20, 2008 by Henrik Y

mixmaker
thats why you can make good slowly you madeprogressive vide, as for me -my video was interlaced, forme is more difficult to make slow motion
Krisboats
that just isn't true ... Fancy editing programs do some clever shit to make some intermediate frames that are completely uniqueUnfortunately though that ended up in a load of distorted crap around anything that moved.I take it this was the kind of thing you were going for? As far as i was aware, you can use a program to add maybe 1-2 frames extra in between frames you shot, but anything more than that lacks quality and clarity. This kind of thing must be shot faster at the time of filming. You can't add significant amounts of information that wasn't there.
mixmaker
two days ago I find "real viz retimer", programmwas usedin many holywood films. It generate frames with morphing neighbour frames and append into video. - now i', learning this programm, and after that I try to show you how it do)
