Mark W
£1250, 1 years ncb, and I live near the ghetto that is Telford. I would imagine a valley with a silly name might be cheaper.I'm going to be living in Newcastle...
N.Wood
Maybe have a look at some of the older Skodas?Pretty boxy estates so good for bikes, pretty ugly so no one wants them = cheap, good strong engines in a range of sizes, think they did a 1.9 non turbo which would be cheap on insurance and fuel if rather slow. Token
If anyone has actually got £250 to spend on a car, then man up an get few more slips and buy my Astra Van for £300. Cos I really don't need it anymore. Off the top of my head, 170k miles with a recent rebuild, few months left on MOT, 2 new tyres, carpeted out in rear, panasonic headunit and it's a mk3. I should really put this in For Sale but I'm a gay.

Steve-A
Maybe have a look at some of the older Skodas? My first car was a Skoda Felicia. The Felicias are big enough for 3 people and 3 bikes if you get one with split rear seats. And they are cheap. Although group 4 insurance as a young male with 0 no claims it was one of the cheapest to insure cars I could find. I picked my up for £800, but it was a '99 with 44k on the clocks, full service history and generally in really good nick. The slightly ratty ones go for peanuts. The little 1.3 went alright, considering, and it was quite a pleasant driving experience really. If i needed a cheap hack I'd certainly consider getting another.
