I dunno about completely boring, I did a nice fast weights session earlier which kept the heart rate nice and high and yet felt challenging:

I started off with a half hour ride home at a moderate pace, but that can be left out...

Warmup

20x Press ups

20x Situps

then with a heavy, but un-weighted bar, still at 5 sets of each:

Set 1

20x Punch fronts

20x Shoulder press in front

20x Bicep curls

20x Shoulder press behind

Set 2

20x Upright rows

20x Squats

20x Bent over rows

20x Tricep Curls

Then 5 ab sets of:

20x straight situp

20x knee ins

20x alternate situps

20x crunches (legs upright, reaching to the toes)

Finish with the warm-up set 5 times again. Tops 30 second break between sets.

Personally I don't find that too boring, but everyone's different. Maybe this one would be a good one for you to try out Dave?
