Tim-Rodriguez
Hi fellow ridersI paid Abdab £50 for some Tensile cranks about 2 weeks ago, he said he recieved the money and posted it on saturday over a week ago but still havent recieved nothing.I been trying to ask him to try and chase it up and any info he could give me so I could go to my local post sorting office to see if its there but he has ignored both of my PM and he is also ignoring me on MSN by setting his status to away when i type him a message. So my £50 has disapeared into this guys pocket and cant finish building my bike...Can anyone recomend anything else for me to do? Walleee
get a phone number in future!!!any genuine seller isn't going to mind you phoning them, infact it's highly unlikely that youd ever need to phone a genuine seller, but yeh you know what i'm getting at i expect.im sure someone on here will have contact details for him, good luck!im all for having people banned who have poor communication during a deal(aslong as they havn't a decent excuse of course!), it might be worth bringing it to danny/tom's attention.... manuel
Doesn't Abdab ride for onza now ? you could go down that road to contact him if you have no luck here ?
Tim-Rodriguez
Well I dont want to acuse him and say he stole my £50, because I recently bought the tensile freewheel of him for £30 and it came with no problems.Im hopeing this is just a problem with the postal service or address written on packege. So I just need him to try and chase up tell me where these cranks have gone, but doesnt help and he is ignoring me.I guess I will have to resort to phoning him when i get a number. A lot of the time they are the problem, and if you've already had good dealings with him before it's probably worth the short trip to check while you can't get hold of him? Hope you get it sorted! Krisboats
Did he send it recorded or special delivery? If you both agreed to standard non recorded delivery then you might never find it. Keep an eye out for a postie with tensiles on his bike though
JT!
In 90% of these cases the seller is usually a lazy git and never actually gets round to posting it. They'll say it was posted on Saturday with the intention of posting it first thing Monday morning, and then it gets put off. I wouldn't worry about being scammed as he's a well known rider and he rides for Onza like's been said above.

Gandalf the Yellow
so whats happened to your monty to cause you building yet another bike?............ i thought it was the brakes not the cranks!steve
Tim-Rodriguez
so whats happened to your monty to cause you building yet another bike?............ i thought it was the brakes not the cranks!steveIt was constant chain reaction of parts being changed, as the monty cranks didnt have enough thread with a bash guard to run front freewheel so by changing that I would have needed to get a ISIS BB instead of running my square and would need new chain, cranks and new back wheel with cog then I found hairline crack in the Stem of my monty so had to spend more money to change that, then might as well change the bars wilst im at it....CHAIN REACTION OF PROBLEMS! Al_Fel
I'd just like to mention a while ago when I was selling my monty this Abdab character posted in my thread saying:Just spoke 2 him on phone. says he dont want it any more, got sponser off koxx? 550?I'm assuming he was trying to put the buyer off. This seemed like a bit of a twatish thing to do.Just to put things into context here's the full thread hereI'm not saying he has scammed you i'm just letting you know something about him that might help you to understand the type of person he is. Nick Manning
That does seem odd. I had Abdab pm me earlier this year because someone told him i was selling my bike, the fact the bike in question was for sale and had been sold and was probably on page 15 by this point, but it seems that things get made up. I can't remember who the other guy was, but it seemed very odd, as I kept getting pm's from his mate and then him, it really annoyed me. It's as if they try and bully you into to stuff and do what they want.Sorry to hear about this Tim, hope it gets sorted.I just found this Abdab clear outI noticed that that's where you (Tim) found the cranks. Abdab claims he's leaving the country and has all these brand new bits to sell, sounds so fishy to me. Pashley26
The other thing too, is if the guy from Select sent them for HIS bike surely he's a vaginal hole for selling them without even fitting them to make a profit for himself ? Tim-Rodriguez
Yeah I guess if he found out he was selling them to make money for himself he would be a bit pissed off.Thats the thread when I decided to buy them look at the date...and still havent recieved them. Sponge
I've sent across 2 PMs, Tim.As for Abdab, I am shocked to see what's going on. As soon as I read this morning that there was some issue, I called Abdab straight away to see what was happening. From what he said, he told me: 'I got my mum to send it off the saturday before last'.If this is true, then it's going missing in the post and needs to be resolved. I agree, Abdab not responding is very frustrating and doesn't help the matter at all. It is always frustrating when people ignore you when you are in need. As I said in the PMs, I will do my best to get to the bottom of this, and see what's going on. I've tried contacting him on MSN these past hours, but no reply. I have his mobile number though. If I can help, let me know.Sponge
Mark W
I don't understand why people think that because something's allegedly "lost in the post", they don't need to and shouldn't talk to the person who bought stuff off them. It doesn't really make you look any less sketchy...

Tomm
as i rang up and advised he should have received them ages ago... they managed to find the goods in rotherham depot. They are now been sent ASAP! sorry bout inconveniene your cranks will b with you very very shortly...Oooooor, you only just bothered to send them. Or maybe I'm too cynical. Are you suggesting that you went to the post office in Rotherham and asked for a parcel to Tim Rodriguez, and they handed it back to you?! Sorry, I smell BS. I know the post office are rubbish, but they get far too much of the blame for things not turning up off here.
