chrishayton
oh dear...I assume you didnt think before you did that? I wouldnt expect that downtube to last very long now.
old_man_dan
been running the frame like that for 4 month dong 7-10 ft gaps 8- 12ft drops front touches hook ups 40"+ side ups and not a mark or any sign of weakening of the frame

Peak stresses in the downtube will be on the top and bottom (rather than the sides) but its still a fair amount weaker - I wouldnt be doing it myself

monkeyseemonkeydo
T-Rex's are built like tanks so at worst it'll last the same amount of time as any other trials frame. I miss my Rex sometimes... although I never liked the look of the smart guys. Again, very strong though.
Krisboats
Why small holes in the seat tube bar things?Giant slots are where its at!Get the headtube cut out too.

old_man_dan
forks are only temp getting some dob mag forks and the forks are ugly as out but there reliable and strong as
monkeyseemonkeydo
getting some dob mag forksAre you sure that's a good idea? Judging by what you state as your level of riding I'm not so sure they'll last more than a couple of months... I'd go for something reasonably light but a good bit less prone to snapping. Krisboats
Look at those stiff links Luckily they it doesn't make a scrap of difference whether they're there or not. Removing them would just be for the sake of aesthetics.
Gandalf the Yellow
when you said drilled i thought 'just a few holes...' after that pic! how much weight has it shred?i think the KOT forks is a great match for that frame, will certainly be lighter and look smarter toosteve
