CZARKID
hey, when i ride and my rim gets wet i get a grey/murky liquid on my rim and pads i know it the water mixing with something. but it makes my brakes have no bite and shit hold. i have got zoo pads on a ground rim with a little bit of tar. can this problem be solved or is it just another factor of wet weather trialingthanks
grant_hundley
It's the tar.It basically turns to oil on your rim.
MiuSliS
I believe zoo pads don't do squat in wet wheater and they are not worth the use in general. My point is, use other pads. Edited November 13, 2008 by MiuSliS
sstein
I use rock blues with a sharp grind and a small bit of tar and it works fine in the wet, enough bite and hold to land on a rail, but in the dry it is amazing, especially after the tar has been spread round by the rain. jack w
i find plaz pads with a grind the best in the wet.
grant_hundley
Then you obviously don't know what a working brake is.Plaz in wet just don't work.

Simon
With the massive range of mental pads on the market, all for less then we all bought Koxx Bloxx for all those years ago, why the f**k are people still using tar. It's wank, stop it lol. Again, what? As in raining/ or damp?Tar is fine. Just in the right proportion and used on the right terrain.
birofunk
I hate wet weather... i found this nice spot near me, where theres loads of rocks, tree trunks, all sorts - but its down this path.I went there today only to find out that the path is covered in MUD, and i silly attempted to go through it, only to have my 33's clogged with mud and wet leaves... pain in the arse.
