Dave_Finney
Hi all, just got back on the steed and after having a king all of my ridig life im kinda inerested in the front freewheel set up. the koxx 108.9 freewheel looks good but whats the general consensus on the whole front freewheel vs rear king? which is better or is it simply a personal preferance thing? having never had a front freewheel are they much different to ride on too? many thanks guysDave
Daniel C
hi i have had several different freewheels and ive also had a king, i never had a problem with the king, never scipped, never any problems... where as every single freewheel that i have used has scipped like a beast.from where i live there has been two people blow there try-all freewheels up!!!if it was my choice i would choose the king anyday hope this helped
pablotrial
no doubts the king is much strongerse how fany freewheels are broken on the internet, i have seen only one broken king hub(tunnicliffe's)lolkeep the king man
N.Wood
If you've got a 'good' King that doesn't skip, I'd stick with it.The king I had was shite, skipped all the time even after servicing etc etc..If you went with a FFW set up I'd reccommend a White Industries ENO over the Try-All. ENOs are fully serviceable and locktiting the lockrick shut pretty much eliminates skipping and that.I've seen quite a number of Try-Alls go to shit, and they're welded shut so theres not much you can do about it. eskimo
I think a good argument would be:ENO is trials specificKing is race/ downhill/ mtb

But none to make you need to swap. Maybe get your King serviced if you feel it might need some attention? Or just to ease your mind.
