MadManMike
Right, I ordered a beasty PC, due to be here tomorrow - everyone is out, I literally have an empty house all week.I work 8-5, the depot is an hour and a half away so I can't get there after work in time.I can't pull a sicky because I've been ill last week (genuine) and they'll force me to get a doctors cert if I go sick again...My neighbours are grumpy old bastards so I can't leave it with them either.Ideas? Sam Ward
try ringing ahead and asking to to deliver it as late as possible, or deliver to a nearby friends house
MadManMike
Yeah that's an option, sometimes couriers only change addresses if the sender requests it though - I can see why, but it's annoying!
Muel
Ask them to hold it until Saturday or something?Get someone to wait in at your house?
MadManMike
Ask them to hold it until Saturday or something?Get someone to wait in at your house?I paid for a quick service haha, without using my brain.Nobody can wait in I think I'll just have to be patient I guess - I've just text my boss to see if they'll take delivery - being sensitive military stuff I doubt they will, worth asking though...
