AdamR28
Hi all,This will be the latest products thread for Yaabaa bikes and parts.Update 17th march, YaaBaa 1299:Here are some snaps of YaaBaa's new model, the 1299. It's a streey-parky-trialsy mixture, looks extremely fun to ride.Geo will be measured when they arrive, but I believe it to be around 1060mm wb, 72 head angle, +10mm BB, 385mm chainstay. The bike features horizontal dropouts, front (190mm) and rear (160mm) Magura Louise discs, 18:14 gear ratio, 170mm cranks, Tioga 24" Rims, Kenda K-Rad tyres, Resurrection saddle and seat post, Try-All Rage riser bars, Try-All NUC stem, Try-All freewheel and ISIS cranks and bottom bracket. As you can see from the pictures, the bike is really well proportioned and designed to handle 'standard' trials, streety-type trials, park and even light dirt jumping. They should be available within the next two weeks.1499 bike and frame, 7th November 2008:1499 bike with Try-All components and Magura brakes, UK RRP £1199. Rusevelt
Would like see how they joined the toptube, seattube, and rear triangle together close up because it looks visually weak from this side angle pic of the frame.
Jake Beach
That bike is well nice. Are they a cheaper version of koxx bikes?

craigjames
plus 50! nice, its an odd size, but at least its big enough to work on the rear of a 26"
AdamR28
plus 50! nice, its an odd sizeIt does seem that way at first - but it means you can use the same caliper front and rear for 190mm rotors when the frame is used with Try-All Forks (which have a +30 mount). Muel
Whats the biggest rotor you can fit on it then?
AdamR28
Theoretically... 250mm I guess! Realistically, a #3 Hope caliper (usually used for front 180mm on IS fork) will go straight on with a 210mm rotor and no adaptors.

stoozie
Would they do the 1299 as a frame only? Or is it only being released as a full build?

AdamR28
Would they do the 1299 as a frame only? Or is it only being released as a full build?I will check for you 1299 or 799? Hehe, well... there is a 799 bike available but we didn't think the spec was 'right' for the UK market: http://k-124.co.uk/product.php?product_id=...category_id=195, so asked for this 1299 bike to be built. So, they have made a new spec and the price comes out to 1299 (RRP in Euros). It should be around £1099 in the UK.

Im guessing it depends on gear ratio etc .. ? 1060 +10 385 with 26 wheels and a seatpost = win.ach - no rear rim brake mounts ?
AdamR28
Yes - the 799 is a 26" wheel version.says 1075 on the page for the 799 ? Im guessing it depends on gear ratio etc .. ? 1060 +10 385 with 26 wheels and a seatpost = win.Yeah, that's with a 392 back end and 45mm offset forks. This is 385 rear end and 35mm offset fork I think the BB may be a little higher than 10mm (15 or 20mm maybe) from the pics, but will measure when they arrive. And yes, disc only.
