ASAP!!!there too bothered about some small amount of people being offended....its unreal. People who watch the show know what his humour is like. If you dont like it. dont watch it. Rant away.No doubt im totally wrong which someone will argue about, But hey this is trials forum.
JonMack
Eugh ffs. More PC bullshit. How many people viewed it? Shit loads, How many people complained? 500, so surely it can't have been that bad.
Gandalf the Yellow
how exactly is that a valid reason for a sack? think generally there are a lot of people out there who dislike him/and will look for every chance to lay an attack on him.he's presenting top gear for a reason, it's 1 of the most popular shows (even worldwide) because it's FUNNY!steve
Luke Rainbird
Yeah, but his opinion is more valid than yours as he's an MP...Thing is that they can't pin it on Clarkson - most of the show is scripted, though obviously a load is ad lib and kept in, and it's all gotta go through editing, censorship etc before it gets aired anyway! MadManMike
Chris Mole, you're a tosser. Stop trying to grab publicity.Clarkson wasn't even directing the joke at the Ipswich girls for starters.
James-M
Yeah, but his opinion is more valid than yours as he's an MP...But his opinion is more valid than the MP's as it matches those of the majority of viewers.
Fixed Pantsâ„¢
They realistically wouldn't sack him because, as mentioned, it was viewed n stuff before broadcasting it so they must have thought it was ok, and no one can force them to sack Clarkson. beigemaster
They would never sack JC, think how many viewers they would loose if they lost Top Gear. PC really is taking the pi55 right now and ironically preventing development. As Mill pointed out in his essay on hate speech, if you silence and censor everyone's opinion ( not matter how controversial or "un PC") then there’s no way views can get a chance to develop as there isn't a chance for a general forum. Don't get me wrong, there is a limit and we should censor completely irrational hate speech, but at the moment it's gone too far in the opposite direction. RobinJI
YAYA load more PC bull shit.GET OVER IT, what the hell is wrong with people.I'm actually kind of offended by the idea of anyone being stupid enough to think they can ever remove everything that could ever possibly be deamed offensive to anyone, anywhere; from TV. And I'm even more offended by the fact that person has managed to become a MP.Oh shit, Chris Mole offended someone, fetch the firing squad..Sh*t... someone might have read this having lost a relative in a firing squad related incident. Sorry, if you ever meat me and you fall into the category, I'll buy you a beer... Sh*t... they might be a Muslim or recovering alcoholic, I'll buy you an orange juice.Sh*t... they might be allergic to citric acid...Sh*t... I think you get the idea. Rich J
I think I might end up being offended by the crap we are going to be left with on the television...... Im off to complain about how bored I am. Anyone wanna join my bandwagon? Or is it only ok if someone wants to show how good they are as a person by complaining when someone swears or makes a joke. BOOOBIES. Offcom that boys and girls.
Tomm
The Daily Mail have a lot to answer for - even MORE than they did before trying to ruin the careers of Russell Brand & Jonathan Ross. I can kind of see the point of THAT thing (Even if it was blown out of all proportion), but this is laughable. I'm sure Clarkson has said a great number of far more offensive things in the history of Top Gear. I look forward to Clarkson's retort on Sunday... Fixed Pantsâ„¢
Oh yeah, thinking about it the other day, hold music, i'm offended by how boring it is, why can't it be drum and bass? Sure someone else might be offended, but i won't be.Which is why, we should f**k pc.
Haz
I complained to the BBC 188 times as a joke, I was going to do more, but I got bored.
1a2bcio8
Bandwagon anybody?Precisely what I was thinking. I found the reactivity that arose from Brand and Ross's behaviour totally theatrical. People can be such drama queens and for the most part, they don't even have a reasoning of their own for why they think such and such. Parroting robotdom. The MP clearly doesn't understand dry humour and I vote for his having a prolonged exposure to all of Chris Morris's comedy. "Jam", "Nathan Barley" etc. are my favourite comedy shows thus far but at same time are what a lot of people would find offensive, for reasons they don't even really understand. I think there's an incorrect belief that if we laugh about death, then we undermine the value of life. This is not so in the sense that if we become to serious about life, it just aint worth living. NVWOCI WVS
If we can get 500 forum members to complain about a show, do you reckon we could get an over-payed demi-celebrity sacked too?

1a2bcio8
Yeah I'm not a fan of Alan Carr. Just reminds me of the stereotypical kid at school that was skilled at taking the piss out of other people. That doesn't really do it for me. Greetings
How boring does your life have to be if you find nothing better to do than to write a complaint to people who really couldn't give a shit about your opinion.aimed at those who watch TG, feel offended and decide to write to them...
