max-t
Heavy duty will have thicker sidewalls.
shamus
single skin!? as in single-ply maybe, heavy duty as mentioned above stronger sidewalls, so less tye roll, more bounce and less pinch flats. everyones a winner!
NVWOCI WVS
everyones a winner!Continental rubber queen is the winner. Light, bouncy, doesn't squirm and grips like <something really grippy>!
Greetings
S-Skin is snake skin I think. Got it on my front tyre. Why don't you just look up Schwalbe's website, they're bound to explain it there.

NVWOCI WVS
thin sidewalls and kevlar tire bead.... = tire rolland even stan pinched his...Not had a problem with mine, the side wall is thin, but I'm not that heavy and I dont run my tyres a silly-low pressures. When prawn rode my bike it was noticeably rolling a bit, but it is no worse than a maxxis high roller single ply in this respect, and it's almost certainly better in every other way!... In my opinion (of course)
Nick Manning
I'm running a Big Betty on the rear, think it's great. This is the info on the Schwalbe:Mine is the third one down.I've yet to actually get a puncture with the tyre yet, and I have really put it through it's pace. grant_hundley
i rarely pinch my big betty either, running about 15psi with a normal tube.i also weighed it to be 803 grams...do get tire roll though (if i land completely sideways)
Nick Manning
I've not had tyre roll, I'm only running 20psi, may start to run 12/15.
Ali C
on street the roll wont be as noticable (I presume thats what your riding as all the single ply tyres I have used were un-rideable on natural because of how much they folded)
Dannoo
hehe thanks for the replies guys!I already checked schwalbes website..Freeride, no cosmetics. The large volume and HEAVY DUTY features make BIG BETTY really tough. The tread is optimized for braking performance and steering. Even so these qualities do not make it too heavy for uphill. Betty can also have a soft side - with super-soft Gooey Gluey Compound. But that info dont answer all the questions I have There was actually better info on Chainreactions site hehe
streetjibs
envious...continental Blubber Queen doesnt fit in the rear of hydroxx ...be warned
Muel
It is also very tight in my Kot frame, if I pedal really hard the frame flexes over and rubs the tyre a bit.
