It would depend entirely on what you were planning on running at the back, as it's the ratio between the two that matters (for example, 20:18 would give a lower gearing than 40:30 despite using a significantly smaller chainring)

I used to run 32:16 for a while on an all round 26" rig, perhaps 36:16 or something similar might suit you

Try and get on a few bikes and get a feel for what you like, and see what setup that's on

hello there i got a dirt jumper and im running on onza t brid cranks 24T and a 15T cog on the rear the Ratio You want depends on how u ride do you want speed or a good wheelie gear or what evere the best thing to do is have a buzz on the internet hope that has helped matey
