doopdoopbedoop
It wasn't a "portable" version you downloaded by any chance was it? If that's the case, don't bother with them - a lot of them have this problem - and download the full one. Can't see why you'd need to bother with a portable version of just the reader though, but I thought I'd mention it just in case.
Bigman
Tried uninstalling, no luck.....And it is deffinatly not a portable one.....Adam
MadManMike
Download Foxit Reader - it's free, faster than Adobe too.I use it at work, a LOT, it's never failed me.

monkeyseemonkeydo
Well that sucks! Whenever mine does something similar it usually goes to a 'Please insert Windows CD or browse for file XYZ' type window. Sorry, can't really shed any light on that one . anzo
I used to have a very similar problem. Basically whenever I received an email through Outlook 2003, it would try to install Visio 2007.I solved the problem by simply removing both Outlook and Visio, and then reinstalling them - they we're on a corporate license so it want an issue, although if its Adobe Reader, its free anyway so I recommend removing any trace of it and seeing how it goes. If it asks to install again, go through with it and see what happens?I've seen it a couple of times with different programs - although never really found a solution other than reinstalling the required programs.
