Mikee
Today my front QR Skewer broke so i decided to put the bolts back in which came with the hub. As i was tightening them up, the bolt head of one of the bolts snapped off (The bolt was not even tight so i couldn't have over tightened it) leaving me with a blocked up axle. It has snapped of pretty flush to the axle so i can't use plyers to undo. Is drilling through it my only option or has this happened to any of you guys and do you have any better ideas?I hope this is all understandable.Cheers. Christophe'
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/EASY-OUT-OUTS-BROKEN...%3A1|240%3A1318You have to drill into the bolt left in the axle very carefully with the correct size drill bit , then use an easy out to turn the broken bolt out anti clockwise.sure you can work it out from there. Si-man
The ones in the link above are the shittest things on the planet, they WILL break. Best bet is to get some like these..Use them at work, super strong, not made of monkey metal. Also, if you have a centre punch (not a sprung one) you will be able to get it un done. Hit the bolt at an angle anti clockwise and it will undo. There's no tension on the bolt so it should fall out.

Muel
Sometimes you can cut a slot in the top with a hacksaw and unscrew it with a screwdriver, but it only works if it's really loose or if there's a lot of the bolt still sticking out. RobinJI
Before going to town with the power tools its worth trying just supergluing, aralditing or chemical metaling a bolt/screwdriver/anything you can turn to the end of it and just unscrewing it, its suprising how oftern it works. Failing that, yeah, the easy out things are good.

aener
Jesus... He's already been told he made a mistake two or three times in previous posts.... Does he really need it again? This is what's wrong with TF.It's great that so many people are willing to help - but there's a damned sight more that relish in telling people how wrong they are...Why do you all feel the need to argue?OP already said the matter was resolved... yet you're just about to initiate another arguement....You guys make me giggle sometimes! Ben John-Hynes
He understood me wrong, so I highlighted what I was referring to. I see no arguments, and obviously he was mature enough to realise that, and you weren't.
