Since I've never played any of them and don't own a console which can play it I'm completely uninterested. Sorry.

Bearded Midget
ive got the beta and i will say its alot better than cod4, but ive cancelled my pre-order because far cry2 is way way better. i have played cod4 to death online (yes i do own) and i then played the beta and after a few hours game play i just got bored, like i do on cod4 after a few hours.(is it me or is everyone shit at cod5?(ive been top of all the games ive played apart from my first 3))so im not excited really, allthough i will end up getting it in a few weeks or so because everyone on my friends list will be on it.... mr ailsbury
From what a few mates with the beta version say, it plays exactly the same as cod4 but with a ww2 themeso should be onto a winner with this one I reckon (Y)on the COD site theres a trailer with all the new perks on it which is pretty cool! Attack dogs, tanks, bouncing bombs, tear gas, sticky grenades, flame throwers, anti tank gunsI've got myself all excited again now thinking bout it lol
Simpson
completed cod4 in less than a week, hardcore gamer here ]Me and a friend (whos never played on an xbox before) completed it in a day and i let him do most of it because we were only playing it on regualr so it was a bit too easy... but cod4 is only like a 10 hour game play
Trials Punk
The origanals are still the best COD and COD UO for PC.Awsome maps, even better custom maps on multiplayer. Not sure if I'll by COD 5, I've got the rest of them but to be honest I'm getting bored of them using the same materials, for instance textures, skins and frames that they use for buildings. Alot of its just touched up versions of what thet did in the origanal COD.Operation FlashPoint 2 is where its going to be at............ Haz
Won't be buying it, WW2 games bore me, they've been done to death and don't provide anything new.
Captain Scarlet
My dad is still happily playing the original Call of Duty on PC, online.I'm not really bothered to be honest, I'd probably only be in it for the online gameplay, which is all I do on COD4 already.I think I'm going to play COD4 online a few days after COD5, then I'll actually be able to play. =D
MattB
Can't wait for it.Hopefully the gameplay will be a bit longer with more missions like the sniping one.Online I imagine will be good. The new perks looks cool. Should be great.Matt

Krisboats
ive got the beta and i will say its alot better than cod4, but ive cancelled my pre-order because far cry2 is way way better. Please tell me thats a joke right? The whole game is shambolic and so repetitive it makes watching paint dry seem like watching the new bond film. The entire game consists of:Take on mission on other side of map.Go to location on other side of map and complete mission.Return to other side of map upon completion of mission, fighting through the same checkpoints on the road you have already done.Start new mission..........head to other side of map.......All the time you get to use the most inaccurate, weak and pathetic sounding guns, which seem to double in awesomeness while the enemy are holding them as they can snipe you with a shotgun from 200feet away through long grass (obviously they can see you through anything) meaning vehicles get ruined pretty quick and your left on foot running around for about 10-15 seconds before your characters slowing down, panting with his vision blurred up so much you can't see whats happening. All the time your fighting off malaria (woo, exciting plot point) which comes and goes through the use of these magic pills and has no relevant bearing on any real aspect of the storyline. Eventually you'll come across a vehicle which seems great until you run into another checkpoint and you realise the enemy vehicles are about twice as fast as yours until they stop and get out... at which point all power seems to leave the engine so whenever you use it your only driving at normal speed again. In summary far cry 2 is a badly designed game that gets its length from the developers making you run from one side of the map to the other repeatedly fighting a load of enemies that seem to have a 2x awesomeness multiplier running while you experience the world through the eyes of a crack head on a bad trip. Haz
On Far Cry 2, I liked it.I'm not sure if you've played all the way through, but there are some decent moments of gameplay, and it's interesting.Enjoyed it far more than Crysis. Krisboats
On Far Cry 2, I liked it.I'm not sure if you've played all the way through, but there are some decent moments of gameplay, and it's interesting.Enjoyed it far more than Crysis.Yeah, crysis looked nice but was pretty poor in terms of gameplay. Played it most of the way through so far though my opinion is almost the exact opposite. The more i play it the more i find it becomes repetitive and annoying. I was amazed at how the game was received by retrospective users. console players seem to really like far cry 2, yet pc users borderline despise it. Maybe console users are easily pleased Neither are as good as crysis warhead
Haz
Didn't like Warhead, either, all though the story was a lot better.Only real problem I have with FC2 is the check points, it's jsut annoying to have to clear them out every time you want to go through, despite the fact you cleared them out 5 minutes ago, and the fact that random cars shoot at you without question, yet I'm driving the same car as them, how would they know? monkeyseemonkeydo
Ok, so should I buy Call of Duty:World at War for my PS2?... Not sure a WW2 game will suit my tastes, would prefer something with more modern weaponry but what's the consensus?
Si-man
I shall be getting it on the PC. I cant wait to use the flamethrower and bbq the japs in trees. They better do gold guns or something similar again, that was the best bit of the online game.Is Warhead any good Kris? Ive heard it isnt as intensive hardware wise as crysis, that true? My comp is high end anyway, but id like more than 45fps in a game lol.I dont get why people hate WWII games. You cant beat using potato masher grenades, B.A.R's or MG42's. Apprently you can drive tanks and stuff aswell on this game Edited October 31, 2008 by Si-man
