J Trials 31
Alright just bled my Maggie and it won't move. One side is moving a bit, but the other side( that I just put a different one on) isn't moving. Any suggestions.

Sam F
Yep, with blood and syringe.Do it in the bath and keep it all under water before you tighten all bolts up.. then if it still doesnt work you know for a fact you've got somthing wrong with lever/pistons etc etc.
Revolver
You can't really bath bleed with oil though. You might want to consider trying the lazy piston fix on the wiki.If the lever feels really soft, its not got enough oil in.Maybe soon you will realise why people really do water bleeds - it is so much easier! NVWOCI WVS
There clearly isn't enough oil in the system. You must be doing something wrong. Are you sure you don't have a split in your hose anywhere?
J Trials 31
It was a stuck cylinder. Got that fixed. Still can't use it though, my TPA is unscrewing itself. When I get that fixed will I need to rebleed my brake again?
Mark W
You probably won't 'need' too, but I'd do it anyway...
Mike Winton.
Your hose may be blocked, take all the barbed fittings off and hose and blow down them?
Revolver
You are certainly having a lot of trouble with your brake! The water bleed is calling you...
J Trials 31
You are certainly having a lot of trouble with your brake! The water bleed is calling you...Duel disc is calling me...And after I get that setup I might trade my maggie for a vee. Tired of working on maggies.
Mark W
Maybe stop dicking around with syringes and oil...?
J Trials 31
Yeah, I will... with a vee. It's not the oil. It's the darned brake itself. Got another one just like it that did the same exact thing.
JonMack
If you've had two that have done the same thing, maybe it's something to do with you. At the end of the day you do seem to post a shit load of retarded questions, maybe your mechanical skills just aren't up to scratch?

They both did the same thing, but they were both like that when I received them I guess. One was never used by me until like 4 days ago and the other came on my bike and I've had problems with it since day one. I do ask a lot of retarded questions, but I guess I'm just retarded. On one the leaver was leaky, and on the other one of the pistons were leaky. forteh
Which end are you sticking your syringe? As youre bleeding the brake, tap the cylinders and hoses to help release trapped air bubbles. If the new (old) maggie slave has been sitting for a while then the seals will be dry and need freeing up and lubricating. To be honest if youre struggling this much with bleeding a magura will you be much better with a hydraulic disk? BB7 or vee for you I think

forteh
or maybe, just maybe, a water bleed. The bleeding media is neither here nor there if his technique is wrong, although a bath bleed is likely to be more sucessfull than his current syringe bleeds
