Revolver
the sprocket and chain are both new?Hmm.I personally would say the chain doesn't fit the sprocket right and you need a different one, but there might be a better solution. Dan6061
Are you using a single speed chain on a 8speed sprocket? Could be your problem, although I think the only difference is the width?Really you should change the cogs and chain at the same time, as they wear together. Cost's a lot more, but it's worth it in the long run!
Bionic Balls
happens alot with new drivetrain parts...does it only skip at a certain point? usually right before the tap (if you're doin a tap)...if you just backhop everywhere and don't actually roll it's fine?you just need to let it wear in...or increase chain tension.. NVWOCI WVS
The chain will stretch a little very quickly and everything will mesh nicely. New chains are deliberately slightly too small to let them stretch a little. It will be fine after an hours riding.
tmks88
i cant even pedal with my hand while holding the bike up in the air.....maybe taking out 1 link will help...and both the chain and cog are new
tmks88
cant make my chain any shorteri tried my old kmc kool which is a bit wider and its seemed to work with this one, so the problem was in the chain (too narrow for this cog)ill try to ride a bit now....going to buy new chain tomorrow
Revolver
Try flexing the new chain sideways a bit, it will stretch it a little and might make it mesh better.
