Hey!

Here's my first trials bike,

So far its cost me £90 :) Hoping to get some new parts though!

At the mo it weighs in at 10.5kg or about 22lb, feels okay, but I would like to go lighter as i'm only small meself!

Comments and criticisms welcome!

What do you think I should upgrade first?

Thanks for looking:)

Save your money aside for if you break anything, seeing as you have only just started its not really wise to invest in good parts yet! Break the old ones then its time to upgrade ;)

To save weight you need to replace the steel forks, stem and bars for alloy ones really. As well as saving weight it will also drastically improve the handling of the bike.

Nice bike though, i had 2 and they were coooool!

Does anyone happen to be selling any of that stuff?

Echo lites- £35

Monty bars- £25-£30

Deng bars- £20ish

Echo team stem- £15-£20

Monty stem £10/ £40ish

Or maybe some cheaper stuff or forks?

I'm getting pretty into this trials biking business :)

Not too much :)

Anyone else hoping for a Mastercard style ' ............... - priceless!'

Oh, nice bike by the way!

One of my mates has that but in bright yellow/faded to white. Really short and flicky, I quite like it!

I'd get some other forks for it, any Echo or Koxx ones will do. Try and get them with disc and magura mounts though in case you want to upgrade.

A Monty PR Stem would go nicely with some Monty TI/Try-All Rage bars.

The first thing I'd do to it though is get some better pads for the rear brake, it looks like you've got magura black pads on a smooth rim, scary stuff. If you want to keep the rim smooth then I'd try and get some of the old compound Zoo pads, there's a few pair knocking around Ebay. If you want to grind your rim then I'd get some Koxx Browns or Plazmatic CRMs.

How is that almost as light as my Echo?, I remember that those bikes weighed a ton.

If your looking to get light, forks are probably the best improvement for that, the standard Onza ones weigh shedloads.

Bars and stem would probably be marginally lighter, but definately a more comfy improvement over the standard Onza ones.
