Day Insure

Just to clarify, this isnt actually for me, I was trying to persuade max (quackers, or whatever he goes by these days) to buy a mk.3 polo he said if I could find a way for him to drive if back. Hes since decided that he wants a mk.2 polo.

However, I must say that I was amazed at the number of replies to this topic. Im happy to have caused a possible mild case of alcoholism, and of course possibly helped people after information.

Ecar do day cover, but you need to be 21, or your mate does

although they tend to check details electronically, so if you say something as drastic as "the car's in my name" then they'll probably spot that straight away. Phone them up though and explaing yourself, you're not going to be the only one in the country to be honest :P

If this car is a 'project' as you say, then I'm guessing it needs some work on it, so does it have tax and MOT? Since these are also on the police database you'd still be running a risk (though with slightly less severe consequences) if you got just the insurance and drove it.

Pesonally, I'd just drive it back and hope I didn't get spotted.
