09 Koxx Geometries

just been browsing through the geos of the 2009 koxx 26" bikes. firstly am disappointed to see the hydroxx 2 has changed geometry from the current hydroxx. But, on 2nd look, Iv noticed its the same as the boxx! 1092 380 +50. Hopefully this will provide a cheaper alternative to the boxx for those peeps who wanna try that geo and possibly a stronger frame too.

What would you do? buy the boxx or the new hydroxx... same geos, different looks. one has disc mount, one dont. Im not considering either, but its an interesting point i thinks..

Gotta say of the new sky range, the black sky seems to be the sweetest imo. What do people think of the new range? Likes/Dislikes??

As far as I care - Hydroxx mods are the best looking bike there is - if they're built up nicely.

Boxxes look disgusting - and I'm indifferent to the stock Hydroxx... So I guess it'd go hydroxx :P

Are there/were there any plans for a ModBoxx?

Says +55 on the hydroxx 2? The Sky 26" bikes are all +60 too? Looks like koxx is venturing into mega high bb...I thought that fad was killed in 06?

EDIT: Only 2 of the sky bikes are +60, the others have varying bb heights.

Because everyone would complain and say they havent even changed it.

I and a few other people thought the geometry was actually PERFECT as far as competition bikes go. Seemed strong as well...such a shame.

the reason its changed is because, gilles said so. the hydroxx was developed by gilles and tested by him as far as im aware. And obviously he decided he wanted a different geo for the comeing year. I wouldnt bet on the geos being the actual figures though i would wait for them to be in stock and measured up. Also the boxx isnt on the there and im sure it won't have been dropped so just shows not to trust things that are comeing soon.

Am i only one who thinks its crazy that they have brought out so many sky bikes? Just asumeing all there geos are going to be similar like they are listed, whats the need? they arnt helping them selves as it means shops have to stock an awful lot of stock which i sure they won't be keen on as it could turn to dead stock by the end of the year if its not shifted and all the frames are similar geo anyway so most people will just buy for the colour, seems stupid in such a small sport and a brand that is so expensive.

The Sky bikes all have different geometries.

But they are all so similar in geos thats just stupid. its just logic when you bring a product line out such as frames you have the frames with a sutible geo difference this way you are targeting a wider range of the trialing comunity. Bringing 5 frames out some with 5mm wheelbase difference just doesnt make much sense.
