My New Beauty

Greetings

Recommended Posts

Got bored yesterday and decided to build one of these up. I've instantly fallen in love with how this frame rides. It's just such a natural geometry.

Short spec:

Echo Control Short frame

Echo SL wheelset/stem/bash

Trialtech bars and cranks

Rest is obvious.

What works incredibly well is the SL chain tensioner. The chain is so tight it can't touch the frame. I think it's one of if not the best Deng invention ever. With this little thing there is just no need to run horizontal dropouts.

Was planning to sell it straight away but it rides so well that I'll probably hang on to it or sell it and then build up another one.

how does it work? I mean is it stuck between the hub and the frame like a 74kingz?

really good looking frame!

It sits on the hub axle and has a notch which sits inside the dropout so the spring can work against that.

Bike looks good! I've got a short. Mine also felt nice as soon as i got on it, but i found it lacked a bit after a while.
