t-mag boi
hey guys, i recently got a t-mag which im not too keen on and the front brake is a magura louise which i HATE and i really want to change to a rim brake. The problem is that my front rim is an Onza Reggie Drilled rim which im not to sure if it can take a rim brake because of the drilles holes . Im not sure if it would act as a sort of grind or if i would have to get a new front rim.All replies would be appreciated michael riding t-mag Edited October 6, 2008 by t-mag boi
Ben John-Hynes
It's not recommended, but some people on here use a rim brake with that rim and claim that their brake is amazing.
SkiLLz
I was thinking the same but thing is if it's on the front and it did act like a grind maybe it wouldn't be so good for gap to front ect.??

CC12345678910
Do you hate the magura louise or discs in general? If you hate the magura sell it and buy a 185mm BB7 with SD7 Lever. Otherwise get another rim.

6ft-midget
I run an avid ultimate on a 26" Reggie rim. Can't say I've had a problem with it. I'd recommend standard Avid black pads. Long lasting and plenty of bite.

SkiLLz
I run a front Louise on my bike, since I've had the bike about 5 months I've had one problem which was my fault because I spilled Royal Blood on the disk whilst bleeding the rear brake then rode it So I had oil on my disk and pads but I changed pads and rode the rain Fixed it right up.
