grant_hundley
its not true that they only work in cnc backings....they do work in plastic, just dont bite as well and arent as loud. thats all
Fishy
Mine held like shit in plastic backings, perfectly set up. When I wacked them in metal backings they were mental.
grant_hundley
wierd... it doesnt change the compound etc. so hold wont be affected.did you set up the pads again after? or leave the cylinders in the same place...
Fishy
Left them in the same place. With a few different pads I've used it's been different between metal backings and plastic backings though?
Julius Czar
Left them in the same place. With a few different pads I've used it's been different between metal backings and plastic backings though?i think its the hold. With my pads ive got plastic backings and when i pull the brake, i can see the pad flexing in the clip,so i think the metal ones are better because they dont flex in the clip on the cylinder, improving the hold and bite
