Heatsink
Just discovered Renoise Renoise Wikipedia PageBang up to date Music composing software based on the classic "Tracker" programs on the computers of Yore. When much younger back in the late 80s/early 90s, I used to be really into composing Tracker Music on my old Atari ST, Just wondering if anyone else was into classic Trackers/Renoise or similar?Steve
Hendrix
That looks good fun! Going to give it a bash right now . I like using oldschool software, but it all seems to get a bit complicated for me after a certain amount of time. This does look like it could "widen my music production horizons" as such. MadManMike
On the download now If it's fairly basic my P.O.S sound card might let me use it... Ordering a new one tomorrow!
Revolver
Looks pretty good. Might be just what I'm looking for, lol, something I can put a guitar track in AND use midi drums.
MadManMike
Downloaded it, soundcard crackled and cut out again - computer says no.New soundcard should solve that problem though.Looks quite complicated, I gotta learn a new program again - just getting to grips with FL 8 XXL and thousands of plugins haha. Hendrix
Easy as pie to use with a midi keyboard! Plus I have tons of samples, and plugins to use with it.

The previous programs I had used like Protracker (Atari ST) were very simple in comparison, and this evolution seems to have extra sophistication in all the right places!http://www.vincentvoois.com/renoise/Easy as pie to use with a midi keyboard!
