Headphones

I have recently lost my crappy ipod headphones and now have an excuse to go buy some better ones. Is it worth going a set of £100 Bose all round earphones? When listening with them, the sound quality is amazing. I will be using the headphones for mainly my iPhone but also with my TV. What you got? What is it like? How much? I have been testing my dads in ear headphones and I find that they will slowly pop out every 2 minutes.

I'm using some Sony in ear ones which I'd recommend but have no idea what the model name is. They cost about 30 quid, deliver great sound and don't fall out even if you hung your ipod on the lead.

However, just to give you an idea, I got my ex a pair of Sony MDR-EX90LP headphones which I tried out briefly and thought they were absolutely awful. At that time they retailed for around 100 quid from a Sony dealer. They're monitor headphones meaning the quality should be great but for listening to music, they were appalling. No bass at all and they just kept falling out.

If you're looking at in ear headphones, make sure they're nice and tight since that'll improve the experience for a start. As for the specs, I can't help you since I don't even know what I've got at the moment.

I use Sennheiser HD25's for DJ'ing / Music Production / Random music listening...

They are £89, go louder than you'd ever need to have them at (Unless you DJ at clubs with hefty monitors).

Can't recommend them enough - Tiesto used them for a few years, so if it's good enough for the worlds most famous Trance DJ they must be alright :) (Even though I don't rate Tiesto, he'd hardly use crap headphones!)

I bought some Sennheiser CX300s after reading loads of goos reviews of them, but to be honest they weren't as good as I expected them to be, they were much better than the iPod ones, the bass is pretty good and the quality is good, but they aren't as powerful as I though they would be.

Maybe it's just my iPod, the sound quality of these 6th gen ones is supposedly worse than the older ones.

I've got a Classic, the most I ever use it on is about 75% volume.

When I say "powerful", I mean like when you set the equalizer to the rock/dance preset, it sounds more powerful than when the equalizers turned off.

I'll try them with my old Minidisc player, that destroyed my last set of headphones because you can adjust the bass and treble yourself. :P
