Revolver
This is a thread where you can discuss quick, nice things to eat, and to share ideas and recipes, If you've not tried this, you seriously need to:Get a cinnamon and raisin bagel, cut it in half, and toast it so it's lovely and gold.Whip it out of the oven or wherever, and QUICKLY slap some butter or marge on there so it melts. Then, get some golden syrup (honey works as well, but pick a nice honey) and put that on there, so it mixes with the molten butter.Eat, before it gets cold! One bagel is two snacks, so don't make more than you can eat, they're quite filling. JT!
I've just made some cheese sauce, chucked some ham in there and dumped that over some pasta. Not exactly quick to make but fills you up to no end.
Revolver
Mmm, waffles. As for pasta, if I was in a rush, I would literally make some pasta, and then mix it with some paprika and mayonnaise.Tastes alright if you get the paprika level right. Sam Ward
Salad Cream on Pasta? get out and try itNOWNutty peanut butter (none of that smooth creamy bollocks) + Nutella + Toast = Snickers on toast.i never thought of calling it that, and another vote for super crunchy peanut butter, i usually just smash a few up and sprinkle them in my sarnies
harmertrials
What about the caramel?Depends on how dedicated you are to creating an authentic replica on toast...Heat up a frying pan for 5 minutes, add 200 grams of sugar and repetitively stir until caramelized. Phatmike
In a semi-concious state I once came up with; White Bread - torn up into chunks, placed in a bowl.Golden Syrup - big spoonful dribbled over the above.Microwave - until it's hot.Vanilla Icecream - dollop over the top.(Add chopped banana for a 1 minute banofee pie )Oooooh yes.(I'll be adding more )
Haz
Fruit and yogurt. Greek yogurt and honey, with walnuts, is about my favourite food.Onion Bagels toasted with cream cheese and bacon.Welsh Rarebit is decent.
Revolver
I also like greek yoghurt with a bit of honey or strawberry jam in it.Mind you, that's how it's meant to be eaten.Hehe, yeah, you could fry sugar until it caramelises, but I'd never do it as I couldn't be arsed to clean the pan after, that shit's gonna make a right mess.
