craigjames
For reference the holes in mine are 18mm and its just about nicking the inner vertical wall, the rim is 50 lighter than a tryall and Im betting as strong, added bonus is it holds a grind well A 22mm hole would probably take out the inner vertical completely.im sure the holes ive drilled in my front dx32 are bigger than 18mm and the one i have hung up ready for when my ronnie dies are defo 20mm. nice and light wide enough for me and you know theyre damn strong. NVWOCI WVS
Surely a front freewheel setup would save a pretty hefty chunk of weight?
Muel
Nope, because FFW set-ups are heavier overall than a freehub normally.I love it! Is it stiff enough with no booster on the back? Edited October 18, 2008 by Muel

Prawny Baby
A 22mm hole would probably take out the inner vertical completely.I ran this pair of DX32's on my BT for AGES with no trouble:both 36h. rear had 25mm holes, and lasted ages, was totally fine. Weighed feck all, less than a 521.the front had 1 1/4 holes (31.8mm) as well as 2x 6 mm holes for each spoke on the sidewall. It weighed less than a drilled 517! I ran that rim for about 3 months just fine, and I've still got it at home, still straight.
dave33
i got a dx 32 with 25.4mm holes been fine for ages, untill i done some stupid drops, got a couple of flat spots but still strong as any other rim really

Greetings
A light bike makes a huge difference when riding though. And I don't consider this build as something fragile, as far as my riding goes I feel I can do anything on it without worrying about the strength of parts.
