will pritchard
As the title says will Magura reds work with a grinded rim?????Thanks Will x
Ben John-Hynes
To an extent, yes. But I, from personal experience, wouldn't recommend it. In the dry they work quite well. But when the moisture comes the pads give up and smear themselves over your rim.
Token
It'll work, but the pads will last a couple of days at the most.

Muel
You need a really sharp grind, and then the pads disintegrate, you actually get pads material all over the rim and tyre!I had the same prolem with my citrus pads on the front, I gave it a light grind on the front, then when you braked hard going downhill, you could actually see puffs of pad dust going off. Get some nice pads, like Rock Blues on a heavy grind.

Ben-jamin'
I've used both the Rock blues and Coust pads. Both worked excellent, but I found the Coust pads more reliable in wet weather. Either is an excellent choice though!
