spaceman
I was using the shadow conspiracy bmx seat, but the rain water always get soaked into the cushion, so I stripped off the cushion. It's "lighter" and has a more "carbon seat" look. Lost my 74kingz tensioner, it just dropped off So I'm using a cheap da bomb tensioner now. I changed to Maxxis Holy Rollers too, feels so much more nicer than the k-rads (I find them too thin and hard). I also got my one of the 4-bolt mount heli-coiled, but the rim is too narrow to use the 4-bolt clamps. The evo clamp is good for now. Some changes coming soon:Echo forged black crank. The current crank fitting got loose, tried the coke can shim but didn't work out good.18:14/15 ratio. Currently is 21:16.Trialtech bashring. Onza tensioner. dx32 for rear. tensile clamps.Comments please (I would get the hose shortened when I'm free ) Edited November 14, 2008 by spaceman

Fishy
Can you get 24" dx32s?

Andrex
Holy roller, what are them tyres like on the rear? Do they ever pinch?
spaceman
It haven't slipped on me yet, but I'm not really good at giving reviews on tyres.I like them cos they're nice and wide, and better than Kenda K-Rads (which are abundant in my country), no LBS wants to bring in Holy Rollers.Pinched twice (many times on k-rads), but i was running quite low pressure then, around 25psi. K-Rads also have very thin sidewalls which tear easily.Do they ever pinch?I know there are some "anti-pinch" rims, but are there such tyres? And I'm using 1.9'' tubes cos 2.3'' tubes are very rare for 24'' here. Edited October 4, 2008 by spaceman
Revolver
Holy roller, what are them tyres like on the rear? Do they ever pinch?Any tyre will pinch if you rim it hard enough.Whatever you run, you want a good, thick innertube in it, like the kenda one or the halo one. This bike looks pretty sick, I like the blue. The bars make it look quite bmxy lol. spaceman
This bike looks pretty sick, I like the blue.Well, soon no more blue cranks, but black, haha. At first many didn't like the blue crank, which I thought so too, it kinda spoil the look - it stands out too much.Only my bash would remain blue. spaceman
front end looks crazy slack with such a short stem!....I like the bars though Hehe, isn't your stem just as short too? You're using a bmx stem with some steel 3'' bar right?

spaceman
yeah, but I have a steep head angle You mean a 73 degree head angle for your inspired? Or it's also affected by the fork?Pardon me, I'm not really clear on head angles
ZeroMatt
Both inspired and 24uk have 73 degree head angle though, maybe 24" forks?

spaceman
I've changed my cranks to Modulo, which is a local brand at my side. One thing good about the Modulo crank is that a threaded shim gets screwed on to the crank, then the sprocket, in the event you strip the threads, you just have to replace the shim. The mechanic who was also a masterclass rider said that those cranks were "indestructible" and very stiff. Riders at my side have been using it for 2 years and none of them suffered from any stripping yet. I've also gotten a Trialtech bashring! I can say it's the coolest thing on my bike I've also gotten a proper single-arm tensioner, by Point Racing. The ratio is 18:14, and I'm still not so used to it yet, it's a bit lighter than my previous ratio.I got those new parts from the local trials shop, and when the mechanic fixed it up, he said that my BB had warpeda little, and my dropouts were a little slanted (due to the flex). He also found out where the creaking sound was from. I thought it was the headset, but he showed me a crack on the fork steerer where it bonds with the crown. Anyway, here are the pics. Can I say it's one of the nicest 24UK around?
Ross McArthur
Good and tight chain, thats what I like to see.Stem looks too short for me. Even for park use and stuff like that Id like to have at least 90mm on a bike that short. The front wheel would sit too far out infront of me.Nice bike though. Gandalf the Yellow
lovely bike vince! looking top. not sure about them stackers....either stack them underneath or just cut off the steerer, other than that the bike is looking top notch.. how comes you're using the V mounts for your maggies?? steve
toyota200x
I am not a total fan. I would like it more if it had a longer stem and if you were not using EVO mounts. I hate maguras with evos.

The evo clamp is good for now.I might try out a longer stem, I would have to admit the 24Uk has quite a short toptube.
