SkiLLz
I tried to bleed my hs33 for the first time last night and it didn't go well at all lost 2 bottles of oil! So i was thinking of just doing it with water, this way i can't run out if i go wrong and i can learn how to do it properly, but if i water bleed it then decide later on i want oil again will it be easy enough to switch over? adam trials
yeah water bleeds are simple enough just do it in the same way as you would with oil and it is simple enough to switch back just re bleed them. Adam.
Al_Fel
Yeah man all you have to do is blast the water out with a track pump.Look in the wiki there's a guide to bleeding brakes.

Al_Fel
Same thing really. Just make sure you get as much of the water out as possible.
Jamie_Neal
You can reuse the oil if its not too dirty or if you leave it the crap separates out anyway - you can tell I'm too cheap to buy oil and I now have a water bleed anyway. SkiLLz
I really need some help with this i've read the Wiki like 5 times and it's still not working! I took the pipe off the syringe, filled the syringe with water then put the pipe back on and squeezed water through to ensure no air in the pipe. Then i connected the pipe and syringe to the slave cylinder and took the grub screw from the lever body, pumped all but about 5mm of water through the system, screwed the grub screw back on and the slave screw back on and still no luck! There must still be air in the system but i don't have a vice to get the other barb screw onto another pipe to check for air from the lever body so it's abit of a game. Please help me. Please lol. Jason222
Put the whole brake in a bucket of water, open bleed valves, pump, close one, pump, close the other, and open the closed one, and pump. Repeat for like 20 minutes until bubbles stop coming out of the system.
gzus11
i am not sure what you have been doing but with the syringe its quite simple.remove both bleed screws. attach your syringe filled with water to the lowest opening.depredd syringe filling your system untill air stops coming out of the upper opening.insert upper bleed screw remove syringe insert lower bleew screw.
