1337 Trials
HIHO! I have a magura hs33. It feels quite spungy but still works and bites. The red TPA in the leaver has gone as in when I turn it it does not adjust the pads(I have the older style lever). I have got new pads which are fine and I have not long had the break re-bled because I had to get a front lever which is now upside down and used on the rear brake. Im thinking would it just be best to get a new magura or could it just be the lever? Ive had the brake with the bike and I had the bike about 2 years ago amaybe 3.If it is the lever would you reccomend the echo cnc lever/TR lever? Thanks- Edited September 24, 2008 by 1337 Trials
Ben John-Hynes
Look in the Trials Wiki section, there's a how to on how to bodge an old magura lever TPA. I've done it with both of my 04 maggies and it works a treat. When you've done that, re-bleed the brake with the TPA all the way out. Problem sorted.OLD MAGURAS ARE THE BEST BRAKE LEVERS EVER! JonMack
Would also be worth stripping it down, cleaning everything up and making sure it all runs smooth. Sounds to me like there's nothing wrong with it at all you just need to fix the TPA (which takes about 10 seconds).
