Sonny Clarke
Right, just bought a new set of speakers but they are being annoying and making a humming noise, either when the volume is nearly minimum/maximum it is loudest then. i have read up on this and discovered it is called Ground loop.If anyone understands this (i'm looking your way Mike ) and could recommend a solution, please give us a hand!Cheers,Sonny

MadManMike
Sounds to me like one, other, or both of these:1) Duff power supply on PC2) Cheap soundcard in PCI can't think of anything else at the moment lol

MadManMike
Which is the precise reason I'm buying this at the end of the month:http://www.gear4music.com/Recording-and-Co...ding-Studio/78KYou can get 'em cheaper of course, I just wanted a good one for recording. Sonny Clarke
Ok thats very strange! I was just browsing when i heard a noise (women speaking) coming from the speakers, i closed the browser and it the noise was still there.Possibly interference from a radio signal althought i don't know how that's possible. Krisboats
It could be anything really, as it can come from a large amount of places in the world. Apparently its the reflection of radio signals due to the occurrence of very specific weather conditions. In layman's terms there's some clouds that bounce the radio channel back at the planet and your speaker picks them up. Dr. Nick Riviera
It's not exactly a well guarded secret that electrical conductors pick up radio waves.
