RossMcd
Slowly Put the camera down!Oh and that stupid drill!! what difference did doing that actually make wieght wise? it has probably made your rim weaker and your pads will disappear soon enough! I don't really understand why any of you care? It's his bike, let him do what he wants to it!The bike looks so much better than with all the stickers on, but seriously, I reckon the mods should start warning for not using the bike pics thread. Dan6061
My mates running a v-brake on the front with an onza drilled rim, and the brake's awesome!Doesn't eat the pads either, suprisingly. They're only the standard Avid black pads too...

6ft-midget
My mates running a v-brake on the front with an onza drilled rim, and the brake's awesome!Doesn't eat the pads either, suprisingly. They're only the standard Avid black pads too...I think that holes are better than a grind as they don't wear out in a couple of weeks. As dan says the v-brake is immense it hasn't slipped once, not even in the wet. However i do find that I lose modulation. The brake is either on or off, so for riding between spots you can't really use the front brake, but thats the only downside i can see. craigjames
think you'd need to put a few more holes in the rim to really make it worth while, you've probably saved 10 grams over all...... if that.
