1337 Trials
It's worth making sure your joining them correctly too! Ok mate. the thing is when my chain snapped its like half off the link that just cracks off.
Greetings
It's worth making sure your joining them correctly too!Yeah that's a good point. KMC chains aren't designed to be joined, you should be using the split link which is shit. When you're joining the chain, the pin should go through the hole fairly easily. If you force it, you'll bend the outer plate which will compromise the strength of the chain so look closely while you're joining it. If you force it really hard, small cracks will appear around the hole. There's a neat way of avoiding this, once you start feeling resistance, take the chain off the tool and loosen the link by waggling it around. Reinsert and repeat if needed. Works most of the time. Fishy
My kmc's gone through 4 bikes now, and the chain itself is made from 3 different chains, I'm a fat f**k too and it's never snapped on me. *Touchwood*
Alex Dark
KMC freestyle bmx ones are nigh on indestrutable, best chain out there IMO

1337 Trials
You say keep it lubed. Will spraying on WD40 do the job? If not what do you recommend? Thanks //
eskimo
3 in 1 oil OR GT85 / teflon sprayBut Collapse chains shouldn't form stiff links if you look after it and join it well. I've never had a problem but many people do.And also for the record Collapse chains aren't heavy!3/16" chains are
